La Bagh Woods
Begin the spring with a walk in the woods, focusing on nature connection and reflection. Experience the changing seasons with walking meditations, readings about spring and the equinox holiday, and guided sensory experiencing.
Location details: We will meet in the parking lot of the Irene Hernandez picnic grove at La Bagh woods. Please note this entrance is on Foster avenue, a little east of Cicero Avenue as well as east of I-94.
Accessibility information: This is an outdoor event and masks are not required. Please stay home if you are sick with symptoms of any illness, or have recently tested positive for Covid-19. There is a bathroom at the parking lot, however it may be closed for the season. There may be a port-a-potty near Grove 1 (which is about a 10 minute walk away, or is reachable by car from a separate entrance off Cicero). This walk will include some paved pathways and significant time on unpaved trails. There is one area nearby with a steep unprotected dropoff from a bridge so children will need to be closely supervised in that area.

Can I bring children? Children are welcome. Children under 12 do not require a separate ticket.
Can I bring dogs? Yes. Please keep pets leashed during this event.
What if I’m running late? We will take a few minute when we gather to do introductions and housekeeping. If we have already left when you arrive, you are welcome to look for us and try to join us along the route. We usually walk slowly. We will not be available to respond to last-minute messages or provide location updates during the walk.
Will we still walk in bad weather? Generally we do not cancel for rain. We will cancel for lightning or other dangerous conditions.
